Greetings from Telluride - where it is currently snowing (2-6 inches forecast by tomorrow!)
Hat's off to Forbes Magazine for coming up with a list of top 5 ski resorts in the United States that is based on real skiing and real ski towns (except for one) rather than how many ski valets there are to carry your skis! It is better, more comprehensive review than magazines like Ski and Skiing. Be sure to read the reader comments as many speak poignantly of Telluride.

According to U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team staff at last weekend's snowboard World Cup here, Telluride has the best snow in the United States (along with Wolf Creek, Silverton and Taos). I can vouch that the conditions are surprisingly good and this next storm cycle comes just in time for the Christmas crowd.
